「黒いチューリップ」は、可愛らしいタイトルとは裏腹に、舞台セットが大掛かりである。
①パチンコ台。
前回「盲導犬」のロッカーより大きさの分その数は少ないが、同じように、立ち並ぶタイプである。しかし、決定的に違うのは、舞台前面にせり出すところだ。背景パネルでは収まらない。また実際に皆が横並びになりびよんと弾いて遊べるようになっているので、台自体にも仕掛けがある。
②タクシー。
絵ではない。正真正銘の車である。きちんと人が入れるようになっている。池だまりにはまっているという設定だ。またこのタクシー、どのようにかは後ほどまた紹介するが、動く。
人の手で作るというものとしては、相当高レベルであるといって間違いない。
鬼才のつくりだす世界に、人も物も、挑戦する。そんな言葉がうってつけの舞台になるかもしれない。
稽古に並行し、夜遅くまでの作業は連日続いている。ここ数日作っているのは、中二階。
舞台平面より、子どもの身長程度に高い足場だ。
舞台に出るものが全てそろえば、唐ゼミ史上最も３Ｄな舞台が出来上がるだろう。
